1. Hot stamping pattern is incomplete, hair flower
There are mainly the following reasons for the incomplete pattern, text, and lines of cold stamping, embossing, thickening, and even overprinting. These points are also issues that need special attention when performing cold stamping on the surface of the label.
(1) Hot stamping pressure. Cold stamping is a high-expansion printing. Even if the normal hot stamping pressure is maintained, the total width of the pattern characters and lines can reach 0.1 mm. If the hot stamping pressure is too large, causing the cold stamping pattern, text and lines to become thicker, then the ink is printed on the hot stamping text, so that it is even more accurate.
(2) Flexographic quality. The flexible plate coated with UV adhesive is relatively soft. If it is deformed under pressure, the area coated with UV adhesive will be larger than the area to be stamped, and finally the hot stamping area cannot match the pattern to be printed. Therefore, the quality of the printed product is affected; in addition, if the plate-making depth of the flexographic plate is too shallow or uneven, the problem of hot stamping will occur. Therefore, in the actual production process, we prefer to choose a harder plate to coat the UV adhesive.
(3) Winding and peeling angle. When the hot stamping foil is transferred, the winding angle is too large, which may cause the bonding time with the material to be stamped to be too short, the hot stamping pressure is too small, and the hot stamping pattern has a flowering defect. Therefore, in actual production, it is also necessary to appropriately reduce the peeling angle at the time of winding the hot stamping foil.
2. The mesh is hot stamped and the pattern is broken, not smooth.
Since the flexographic plate coated with UV adhesive is soft, in the process of plate making, too small dots are easily brushed off by the brush, resulting in the lack of mesh adjustment, resulting in broken nets and no smoothness. Therefore, when designing the hot stamping process, we must first understand the defects of the plate and hot stamping process, try to avoid the design of the particularly soft hot stamping effect, the harder plate should be preferred when making the plate, and the corrosion depth of the plate Be appropriate and so on.
3. Hot stamping pattern is easy to fall off
The cold stamping pattern is easy to fall off and has a direct relationship with the UV adhesive.
(1) When the content of the photosensitive prepolymer in the UV adhesive is low, the UV adhesive film is thin, which reduces the adhesion to the material to be stamped, so that the hot stamping foil cannot be firmly fixed. Sticking to the material to be stamped, it is easy to fall off and scratch.
(2) When the power of the UV lamp is insufficient, the photoinitiator in the UV adhesive is not sufficiently activated, so that the crosslinking reaction between the photosensitive prepolymer and the active photoinitiator is insufficient, resulting in incomplete curing of the UV adhesive. Therefore, in daily production, it is necessary to constantly check the working state of the UV lamp and develop a good habit of regularly cleaning and maintaining the reflector.
(3) When the pre-printing and hot-pressing are performed, the problem that the UV adhesive is not firmly combined with the black, blue and white ink layers often occurs because the pigment in the ink and the photoinitiator in the UV adhesive are used. Absorbs ultraviolet rays in the same wavelength band and does not completely cure. It is preferable to use an ultraviolet high-pressure mercury lamp having a wavelength of 200 to 400 nm as a light source, the irradiation intensity thereof is more than 80 W/cm, and the general service life is more than 1000 hours.
