3. Scanner Selection and Apple Computer Adjustments to Pay Attention to

6 For thick and thick manuscripts, increase the processing, boldly increase it, sometimes reaching 15%-25%, and adjust the dark sky of the manuscript to a smooth high-light spot.


7 Middle-toning thick manuscript, in addition to the reduction of -5% ~ -10%, boldly reduce the K version; such as: dark-colored dark green, dark yellow tea and other K version can not let go.

Careful analysis of this book's biggest drawback is the dark tone. This is because the maximum density of the Multi-Patron scanner is 3.0-3.5. The extension is 3.5-4.5.

The quality of the original is relatively poor.

Second, according to the information provided by the customer, how to modify:


1. Analysis of inkjet proofs provided by the customer: The overall color is blue-violet and contrasting. The skin color (face) is reddish and there is no hierarchy.


2. Open the disk on the Mac G4-4500, observe the high light values ​​of C, M, and Y in layers as C, M, and Y are all 0%. The dark tone is that the R, G, and B modules are also unbalanced after being scanned and converted by C, M, Y, and K. In the darkest tone (hair or rotor), C is 85% and M is 8%. Y is 65% and K is 85%, so that the dark field superposition value is 243%, and the sample is less than the printing minimum saturation. In other words, there is no linearity, no neutral gray, no level, no color.


According to the above analysis, first determine the white spot (highlight) network points, preliminary set C5%, M, Y3%, K0%, dark tone (black) outlets percentage is C65-70%, MY55-65%, K95 %, the dot overlay value is between 270-285%.


3. Operation procedure:


1 Open Photoshop, open the created file


2 Select the highlight (white field) area with M-curve to adjust to C5%, MY3% or C4%, MY2% or C6% MY4% (based on the area of ​​the highlight area and the locality of the setting. Then observe the dark tone. Whether the setting of (black field) is C65-75%, MY55-65%, K95%, if it does not reach the required value adjusted by the curve.


3 According to the overall purplish blue of the inkjet proofs, use the M curve to select the adjustment. C is reduced by 8-10%, M is decreased by 3-5%, Y is increased by 5%, and the original document is biased blue-purple to be corrected.


4 Select the K version of the single curve. Observe whether there are a large percentage of dots in the K version, such as green grass, skin color (face, etc.).


Note: It should be noted here that the R, G, and N module scans are replaced by C, M, Y, and K colors, and the K version is a long tone (also called the long tone black). There are several types of pitch adjustments in the K-separation in the operation of the electrical extension, and there is a background removal VCR or a programmed background removal ICR system. That is, the long version is used to replace the components added by C, M, and Y.


According to this theory, the brighter colors will no longer have the K version. At this time, the K-curve curve can be lowered by 10% (the darkest tone is kept at 95%).


5 Adjust with the Image menu - Halvst, select the color black with Selectrve color, make up for the darkest value to reach C65-75%, MY55-65%, K95% four-color dot overlay value reaches 27-28%.


Select the big red block, increase the opposite color of the red C version, increase from 15 to 18% from 0, 99% from red, black M, 99% from Y, and 15-18% from C. To make the red layered, if there is no set off of C, the red color looks very stiff. (Such as the red flag of the sky, red flowers, red banners, etc.)


6 select the M curve, M curve in the 50% of the adjustment at the drop of 5-8%, 50% of the Y curve increased 3-5%, which changed the character of the face color magenta phenomenon.


With the Select Color menu, in the large red block, increase the C version of the opposite color, increase 13-15% from 0 to make the face skin color layered. The percentage of the face's color (in denomination) is C135, M40, and Y45-47%, and the ratio of the face of a person's face to the light-receiving surface or female ten-color is C8%, M25%, and Y20%.


If the skin color (face) does not have the opposite color, the color will become the orange peel color.


7 Trimming, after the original document was adjusted, the shallow 5mm edges have been added to the periphery of the graph to restore it to its original shape.


Select the Edi bias value menu and stroke stroke (5mm) to restore.

The computer uses Apple Computer to print out the film, except for the overall tone. In order to find the outside of the ink area, the edition was well-arranged, with 7.5 sheets and 1200 copies. It took only 12 hours to print an average of less than 50 minutes.


The printing press is Heidelberg C-102 (2000 model). The ink used was Shanghai DIC Saisi 4 ink.
