Machine interface unit for data automation and manual dual input

Mattec provides a new, economical machine interface unit (MIU) that automatically monitors machine production and downtime, while allowing manual input of reasons for shutdown, scrap quantities, and reasons for scrapping. The new MIU Level Z operator terminal can handle all the basic data required for input level production monitoring, planning and timing systems, such as the Mantec-designed Man-A-ger and ShopPro systems.

This unit is designed to monitor a single processor and accepts real-time production data and manual input information. It has formulated a two-line digital display and keyboard for random information feedback and input.

“The new MIU-Z system is designed for applications that require a one-to-one connection between the machine and the MIU,” explained Mick Thiel, president of Matttec. “In the past, our input level production monitoring system was installed around multiple MIUs, which was 16 Machine service. Requires the operator to make a manual input to a central location. Now spend less than $ 850, a MIU unit installed on the machine can be simple and economical data input."

MIU Level Z is compatible with Man-A-ger and other operator terminal forms supported by ShopPro systems, including the MIU Level 0 series of multi-machine terminals. These units support 4, 8, or 16 machines and can recover and input data through a color touchscreen display.

THE-MAN-A-ger(r) is an economical production monitoring system that monitors the cycle time, shutdowns and rejects of 24 machines in real time. The system can be upgraded to the top ProHelp(R) EPM system at any time, giving it plant-wide production and process monitoring capabilities.
