Common Offset Press Positioning Faults and Troubleshooting

In the printing production process, often because of the offset positioning problem of offset presses, it may cause work stoppage, nest work or unnecessary waste, and cause a lot of losses. What are the common problems?

1. Over-regulation

1. The tension gauge spring is too strong. The solution is to reduce the strength of the tension gauge spring. The strength of the pull gauge spring should be determined according to the thickness of the paper used. When printing thin paper, a spring with a smaller force should be used accordingly.

2. The gap between the pull gauge cover and the pull gauge strip is too large. This gap should generally be about 0.1mm, and the gap can be changed by adjusting the adjustment rod on the pull gauge.

Second, the paper cannot be pulled in place

1. The strength of the pull gauge spring is too small. The solution is to increase the strength of the pull gauge spring. When printing thick paper, this kind of problem is easy to occur. In this case, a spring with a larger force should be used accordingly.

2. The gap between the pull gauge cover and the pull gauge strip is too small, there will be resistance during the paper pulling process to affect the paper in place. At this time, you can adjust the adjustment lever on the pull gauge ball to change this gap so that it does not affect the movement of the paper.

3. The pull rule is too low. When printing thick paper, if the pull gauge strip is too low, the pull gauge ball and the pull gauge strip cannot produce sufficient pulling force on the paper, and the paper cannot be in place in time. At this time, the drive mechanism of the pull rod should be repaired to the proper position.

3. Pull the rule to scratch the printed matter

This is an inherent failure of the toothed gauge. When printing on the front side, the trace is not obvious because it is drawn first and then printed. When printing on the reverse side of the paper, the pull rule will cause friction with the graphic part of the paper. If the force is not suitable, there will be scratch marks. At this time, adhesive tape can be attached to the pull rule to reduce the marks. But the most thorough way is to change to the pull rule without tooth.

For the above problems, there are different solutions due to different work experience. The above methods are for reference only.
