1. Replacement of bulb
The lamp is one of the most important parts of the projector. The average service life of the projector lamp is about 1500 hours under continuous use. Depending on the use environment, the service life will vary, and sometimes it may be less than 1500 hours. As the lamp usage time increases, the brightness of the screen decreases. At this time, the lamp can be replaced according to the cumulative working time of the lamp and the actual usage. If you want to check the cumulative usage time of the lamp (take the Mitsubishi XL30C projector as an example, the same below), just turn on the projector power and press Λ, V and ENTER (confirmation) key at the same time, the screen will display the lamp usage. The simpler way to replace the bulb is to follow the steps in the instruction manual. If there is no instruction, you can use a screwdriver to loosen the lamp cover screw, remove the lamp cover, look for the fixing screws with special marks around the lamp, loosen the screws, open the fixing bracket of the lamp, and grab the handle of the projector, Pull out the lamp assembly and replace. When installing, it must be in place, the light source cover must be installed in its original position, otherwise the protection circuit will work, causing the power to not turn on, and the projector will not work.
2. Simple troubleshooting
The projector is a high-tech product with electric and optical conversion. The components in each part of the equipment are relatively precise, and a variety of protection circuits are installed in the machine. If the operation procedure is violated or the settings are improper, the protection circuit of the projector will work, and various abnormal phenomena will occur. In this case, turn off the projector for 3-5 minutes, then turn on the projector again, reset it according to the correct operating procedures, and the fault can generally be eliminated. If the fault cannot be eliminated through the above steps, it means that some components in the projector are damaged and can only be sent to a professional maintenance department for repair. In particular, it should be noted that only technicians with professional maintenance level can disassemble the machine for maintenance, it is best not to do it yourself, otherwise, it may avoid greater losses. The following is a brief introduction to several common non-destructive failures of the projector:
1. The power cannot be turned on: the power cord may not be connected properly, and the main power switch may not be turned on. If there is a LAMP (light source lamp) indicator light on or flashing, it means that the bulb assembly or cover is not installed correctly. In addition, when the REMOTEPOWER (remote power switch) function key is set to "OFF", the power cannot be turned on.
2. There is no image on the screen: the following conditions can cause no image on the screen, which can be excluded one by one; the projector connection device is not opened, the lens cover is not opened, the video connection cable is incorrect, the input selection is incorrect, BRIGHT (brightness ) The adjustment is set to the minimum value, and PICTURE is not set to "ON".
3. The image is blurred: The cause is that the "picture adjustment" is not performed, or the brightness, contrast, and micro-sync adjustment are incorrect. In addition, incorrect lens focus, dirty lens, incorrect placement of the projector, etc. may cause blurred images.
4. The image disappears: the projector's suction port, exhaust port or air filter is blocked by dust or foreign objects can cause the image to disappear.
5. The color is too bright or too dark: the reason is that COLOR (color), HUE (tone) and BRIGHT (brightness) adjustment is not correct, the input signal is not adjusted correctly, etc.
6. No sound: no audio signal is input, the volume is adjusted to the minimum value or the MUTE (mute) function is turned on, which will cause no sound.
7. The remote control does not work: the battery has no power or is not installed correctly, there are debris blocking the infrared signal, and the effective working range is exceeded.
